German Shepard's are great dogs, had to put mine down in May because of cancer, even w/ pain meds he was hurting, loved cats, kids, got along with other dogs, & never had to worry about him hurting some kid if he got out, also have 4 cats only 1 got along w/ the dog.

australian shepherd dog?

Or they took him for a proper test drive running behind the family car (Just like National Lampoons vacation lol)

Only kidding Besoeker, he looks like a happy dog, well done.

The test drive was a march around the perimeter of a field next to the dog centre.
Lively. But does't bark or even growl - or chase cats as far as we can tell.

Looks a bit scared to me, look at the body language. I reckon he's going to need a bit of work but treat right (which he will be) he'll be fine
When we first took him out, we were complete strangers to him.
But he was perfectly comfortable with us.

if i were a dog and saw me for the first time, i'd be a bit wary.

No matter what pet you have, give them a little extra cuddle tonight from us . We just had our big, brave, beautiful lad put to sleep this afternoon. I'm busy trying to numb the hurt with alcohol but it doesn't seem to be working just now.
Here's him on the beach

i feel for you, trev. it's always a big hurt.

We took the dog out again today. It is getting more comfortable us.
It's young and, being cooped up in a kennel most of the day, it is naturally exuberant when it has a chance to get out. At about 25kg and muscular, restraining it needs a firm hand.

We know it will be a bit of work but we are prepared to put that in for a doge with an even temperament. As I said, it doesn't bark, growl or bite and reacts well to affection.

It needs a good home - we can give it that.

I feel for you having been through that myself.........

That's a bummer Trev. I'll raise a glass to your mate tonight myself.

I grew up with a little black & white collie who eventually went to my grandparents' when he got too old for rowdy boys. We inherited two other dogs when my brother couldn't look after them, plus a few goats over the years.

Currently my wife and I have a little Persian cross, but would like to get another kitten or puppy once we're in a larger place.

My heart goes out to you it really does , I have lost 2 dogs and the one I have now has a heart murmur , its so hard , just think of all the good times you had with him and keep him alive in you're memories , so sad ..
