What’s happened to my electric meter?

Hi all after some advice with my meter reading.


Every month I have to send my readings to octopus which I’ve been doing for months no issue. However gone to do it today and the reading looks like it’s started again.
Gone from 00732 to 0002.

Also when pressing the “A” button it doesn’t go to total act import just switches between voltage and current. You have to leave it for a minute for total act import to come back on.

Nice to see your smart meter sending the readings in for you! If the meter reading has suddenly changed like that the only thing you can do is inform Octopus of the problem and they will probably replace the meter. Probably best to phone them first before sending in the new readings as it can turn into problem if the computer reports faulty readings.

At long last a "Smart " meter that truelly is Smart and has a mind of it's own.
I'll have some of that, if that's what "Smart" meters do, book me in for one now

What reading are you getting once gone through all registers and it back to its default reading.00732or 0002.

The reading was 0002.874 yesterday, it’s now 0008.368 in comparison to 007321.5 last month

I would advise to contact your supplier, could need a meter exchange.

Contact them and ask for a re-fund. ?
