Refreshing my knowledge on circuits for an electric project & would appreciate if you can let me know if my understanding as I will explain/show below is correct.

Figure 1 shows a wire containing a live (red) & neutral (red) (similar to Romex NMB w/out ground shown) and Each bulb A-D are connected to a live & neutral wire, with the connections between each bulb being connected as in Figure 2 & 3. As I understand, with a live & neutral being run to each bulb, all bulbs in Figure 1 will establish their own circuit running in-parallel with each other. However, if I were to connect Light A, as in Figure 4 to only a live (but no neutral) & then allow the neutral connection to go from Light B to connect back to the black (dotted lines), then it would be in-series.

To test this I ran through an online simulator & believe that Figure 1 & 4 for connections A & B are represented in Figures 5 & 6 respectively.

Please let me know if this is correct?

in fig #4youwould have A and B lights in series with the dotted line connected,but C would be in parallel. with A and B.
