On either side of my front door is a motion sensor wall light - it looks like both lights operate from one light switch inside the house. The problem is only one of the sensor lights is responding to movement and switching on and off. The other light does not light up but clearly there is power to it as I can see the red LED going on and off whenever motion is detected.

I believe these lights have a manual override option which is operated by quickly switching on and off the light switch inside the house. The fact that both lights are on the same switch could be the source of the issue but this is just my hunch I’m not an expert on this.

All the wiring is behind plastered brick walls so difficult to know exactly how it is wired but is there a way to fix the issue without a major disruption to the walls ?

It's likely a faulty fitting. If the pir is activating then either the led in the fitting has died of the pir is faulty.
