You’ll probably want to take the 18th edition exam, it’s a city and guilds course called the 2382-18.
There are many places you can take this course, it’ll cost just under £500.
The 18th edition is the latest regulations to be released (effective as of January 2019) regarding installation test and design of circuits.
With this certificate and proof of history in the industry I don’t think you should have any problems at all.
Trade skills for you and technique learning solutions are good course providers I have used in the past

Neither do I as long as you have a modicum of common sense and the ability to read you should be OK.

You know it's spelt different over here in the US right?

There are a lot of differences between the two country's, far more than I could list in a post.

The biggest gripe over here, which I have banned all the electricians under my watch from using, wire nuts (fire nuts). They're God awful.
Tell me about it...

And I completely agree about the fire nuts...

i dont blame you! I haven't used them since wago(lever style)WAGO 222-413 came out here.
what i like is they don't damage the cores the way twisting does.
I only use copper with exception of the entrance cabling and that is fastened under the lugs.

Yep, Wago is what I demand as a minimum, however 99% of the time it's all jb's with din mounted terminals.

Al conductors are a no go in my panels, makes my life easier for the UL side of things keeping it all copper.
