Again it depends whether you need the work or not, for fun only, assuming you don't care whether you get the work and you are a proper time served spark then £1,100 plus vat :biggrin5:

Sorry mamba but I read your post as "I have this job and I want to know how much YOU would charge"
If this is the case then the guys on here usually respond better if you give your price out first.
If not then just ignore my comments....

Things are ticking over its is fairly quiet you would like the work but if you do not get it it is not a train smash. It is not a desperation job but to be priced so as client gets good value for money for good product and service and you do it with a view of what it is worth to you.

Yet how much would you quote?

It is hyperthectical question for a bit of insight and cross reference and at the same time have bit of fun and banter among us electricians, as it appears form sparks on this forum and who I speak to daily in wholesalers etc we are all now getting really confused with pricing in this now very competitive market. The job is based on a quote I recently went in for and got blown out the water.

Ok I would quote £1,200 . If my quote was accepted I would give the job to amlu for £600 (see post 2) and keep £600 myself.
Your turn now mamba....

Ok Ok as said lets keep this light hearted never intended to take take take this is a forum.but if you must I worked out my quote broken down as materials £326.00 inc Vat straight off a proforma invoice from Wholesaler allowed myself £185.00 per day working 8.30am to 5.00pm for a 2 day job
Day 1 to do all the garage works day 2 to id all final circuits install new CU and fully test both Boards So quote was £695.00. Got blown away did not get the works

Yeah my sort of views then again if one cannot get a job that is really well value priced in this market what is answer, sit at home and have house dog and Megger taken away by ballifs or does one go out and at least keep busy and bring in a little which is better than nought.

£695 is a low price for that. so as above, you probably better off losing it. let the romanians botch it up then you might get the job to put it all right.

Defo best off not winning that one! The customer will get what they pay for most likely a crap job!

Offer to do a free EICR when the work is finished. And see if they get a test certificate with the job!
