Hello guys!!! Have a little confusion here??? When selecting a mcb for 3 phase. Whennit states 60 amps is that 20 amp per phase or 60 amp per phase??
Thanks

60A per phase

It depends on the wording but in general 3ph 60amp supply would be 60amps per phase.

Some of the questions asked here at times really scare me, as to what's going on out there in the so-called real world!!

Sometimes we have a brain freeze and cant think about anything... It happens to us all..

If it's 60amp/phase that makes 180amp...................do I then need to put a 200amp breaker in before the 60amp one?

...........................joke :tt1:

Hi,

Reminds me of when I purchased some 15KVA 3 Phase 1:1 Transformers. I was looking at 15KVA/Phase, but when I received them I got 15KVA spread across the 3 Phases. People look at things differently. Life is all about learning!

Regards.

thanks guys

Thanks guys. Yes it is scary sometimes. When you get a brain freeze. But a forum like this can always help with refreshing or debating the right way to do something when its a grey area inbthe BS7671. Again thank you guys.
