Discuss Confusion with registration with council, NICEIC and Part P in the Certification NICEIC, NAPIT, Stroma, BECSA Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
Been working away in Europe for 5 years and now returned to UK. I have got 16th edition and Test and Inspection and will be taking update course for 17th edition shortly. What do I have to do to be registerred to sign off and certificate own and others work. I assume need to enrol with NICEIC as I was previously but workmates have said also need to register with the council and be Part P registerred as well.
if you join niceic, napit or elecsa, you are automatically registered under the terms of part p. if you did your 16th before 2001, you will have to do the full 17th ( 2382) not the update.
As said previously Elecsa, Napit or the NICEIC offer the domesticinstaller scheme that youneed for part P. There are two others as well but can't remember them. Be quick with your 17th ed. After January you will have do take the full course rather than the update. 4 days instead of 1.

Don't think you can do an update if the course is based on the 1st Amendment it is the Full Monty you have to do.
