well an uninsulated standard connector block can surely be seen as a live part plus the fact they are NOT maintenance free?

The standard connector block (chock block) has moulded insulation and all conduit boxes should be earthed (metal) or be insulated (PVC), have screw down lids and be accessible for maintenance. No problem. The twist on porcelain type are non-compliant AFAIK

i just hate opening a conduit box and seeing a half taped choc block when there are wagos etc on market

and IMHO there aint exactly enough room in a standard 20mm box for the usual 15a choc block
