What is it? With the test button and no other discernible markings I just assumed it was an RCD.It isn't an RCD.
That needs changing mate. Sent you a PM with a video about them.This is a relic. Not sure what the RCD is supposed to be protecting as not a single thing in the property that I’ve tested so far will cause it to trip at 1 or 5x. Test button works ok though.

You are way too young to have seen them when they were your only real option for TT systems. I think the first time I saw one was mid-70s and even then it was being replaced!Thanks for all the input.
I knew of the VOELCB but hadn’t actually seen one in the wild. At least now I know why it wasn’t tripping on a RCD test.![]()
