Hi all,

Is it permited to add a fused spur feeding an outside light from an unfused spur from a ring.

I know its ok to have one unfused spur from a ring.

The setup is as follows:

RING ----- Unfused spur --------- FCU -------- Outside light.

Regards

Simon.

Ring -- 2.5mm to unswitched fused spur (13A) -- 2.5mm to switched fused spur (5A) -- 1.5mm to outside lights.

depends on cable sizes and circuit protection
look in the appendix of the regs, figs 15A & 15B
If you have one of the first copies of the 17th it contains errors, but you can get the corrigendum(big word) with the altered pages from....free download

IEE Wiring Regulations updates - The IET

usefull site this for downloads, if you need free downloadable test certs for example use this link
Forms for electrical contractors - The IET

little tip, when you click on the link and the redirecting page appears , click on the link on that page it will take you straight to it.
otherwise you end up on the IET site and have to search
