First things first, I'm a time served Engineering Technician (multi-skilled maintenance - Electrical, instrumentation, PLC etc etc) not an electrician (I can hear the boo's and hisses already, haha!). A lot of my work is centred around RCM and a whole host of other modern maintenance/fault finding stuff that I shan't bore you with.

I have done 2382 and 2391 for ****s and giggles, but do very little installation work in my job. I've been lurking on here for a while, mainly for regs related stuff with regards to domestic installations, so thought it was time I signed up proper in order that I might doff my cap in the direction of the fine gentlemen whose advice I'm heeding!

As a side note, I've worked in a brewery for 18 years so if you have any beer related queries, that's something I can help with!

Cheers!

Welcome bonny lad - you should fit in well here - most of this shower aren't electricians either!! :)

you might be able to help a wel respected member, MDJ. tell him the kind of shyte that goes into creamflow.

Cream flow? Nitrogen. Smaller bubbles.

Served so cold you can hardly taste it. Which, judging by the standard of most beers of that type, is no bad thing!

gave you your 1st thanks for that. it's what i ( as a pedigree, abbotts, hobgoblin, old peculier, etc. drinker) have been telling him for ages.

Oh no, another wanabee Electrical Trainee

Haha! I knew I shouldn't have put that. I had hoped the 2391 might get me off the hook!

We have 15ww in my trade. Mostly from Toyota and mostly bloody dangerous! A little knowledge is a dangerous thing - and I bet you see that regularly on here!

pedi is alright, i tend to stick to lager though.

or spirits, i quite like the new honey jack it is a bit sweet even for me though
If you like acidic dish water yes, John smiths is a nice pint as is a guiness, or proper cider from somerset, shove your pedi up your anus lol

Pedigree is a shadow of its former self. When right, it was beautiful.

Ironically, most people have no trouble getting Pedigree out of their anus!! To quote my father, a life-long Pedigree drinker, said to his GP

"Bouts of diarrhea? I wouldn't know. I drink Pedigree, I haven't had a solid s**t for 20 years!"

i said its alright not that i drink it by the gallon.

nah id rather sit back with a nice single malt than a pint, ive probably had less than 20 pints since christmas

Welcome on board think you might just fit in here well, especially if your qualities are Beer and taking the pi$$

Beer and taking the ****? That's me, in a nutshell!

Did a bit of install today, relocating a process stop button as original was on the isolator (as is our spec)but isolator was mounted behind a Perspex screen (phosphoric acid dosing pump) and EHS rightly wouldn't sign it off. Updating CAD drawings that didn't reflect what was in the field (nothing new there!) and putting cable markers in the isolator that the electrician must have forgotten... A day in the life haha

Typical sparkies ........ you'd never find a plumber doing anything like that! ;)

be lucky to find a plumber doing anything useful apart from suicide. :willy_nilly:

"Yesterday, scientists revealed that beer contains small traces of female hormones. To prove their theory, the scientists fed 100 men 12 pints of beer and observed that 100% of them gained weight, talked excessively without making sense, became emotional, couldn't drive, and refused to apologize when wrong. No further testing is planned." ..........Is this true???

Mrs O'Brien gets a call from the brewery:

Maureen, it's terrible news I have for you
Your husband Paddy's had an accident at work
I'm afraid he's passed away

Oh my goodness, but that's the worst news ever
Tell me, you said it was accident, how did it happen

Well, you see he drowned in a vat of beer

Oh my good gracious
Do you think he suffered?

Well I'm not really sure
But he did get out twice to go to the toilet
