Hi,

I'm thinking of replacing my 8 gang switches which are all 20Amp DP to newer MK ones. One of them is marked "Hob" but actually controls the oven. The switch on the other side of the kitchen near the Hob and cooker actually controls the Hob. I think this is a 45Amp style switch. This is how it's always been since I moved in. Should these be round the other way and the large single switch control the oven and the gang switch control the Hob as labelled?

Regards

All accords on the power requirements of both, it is quite normal for the hob to be more power hungry than the oven, so they may be correct as they are just not labelled correctly.
