Hi, my friends got a spa bath and wants it wired in. I was thinking of running some 10mm t&e under the bath into a ip65 junction box, then into the pump underneath. I can't find anything in the regs or part p which says anything about this so could to with some advice. Also would need some type of gland for the 10mm t&e going into the box? Any help would be great.thanks

Section 701 gives you the zonal details and what you can can't do -- from memory it will be a Zone 1 area or outside the zones if not accessible! If it is classified as Zone 0 then I think its a rating higher than IP65 you need.

And dont forget consideration of your supplementary equipotential bonding whilst your there .......

Could use sy cable and stuffing glands, or similar round cable.

I think I might have heard of stuffers for twin but I could also be dreaming that

Edit

Listen to sjm post #6

Get the proper inserts for twin

That's certainly true if he has to use the contents of his toolbox to take the panel off

10mm cable i can understand if we are talking about a Hot Tub with heaters, but general bathroom spa baths have no heaters, just pumps and filters etc... So no need for anywhere near a 10mm cable to supply such an installation.

Oh, and an IP65 box is fine for this location....

Hi, thanks for all the replies. I was going to use 10mm as he is thinking of having a power shower also. I guess ill stick with the ip65 box underneath the bath then. Does anyone know any links for supplies of 10mm t&e glands?
