Thinking of joining stroma as they seam so much better priced
Has any one gone with them any feedback.
Heres what I wrote a short while ago, hope it helps a little on another thread:
I've signed up with Stroma (£300 inc VAT). They are a government recognised certifying body and by far the cheapest. Certs are £1.50 ex VAT. I found the assessor professional and thorough.
Its out of my remit to say whether its worth going for the better known ones as I am very new to electrics, but I'd guess that a domestic customer isn't too concerned who you are with and probably wont have heard of any of them.
hi i contacted stroma cost 250.00 plus vat only need to show 1 job on assessment as long as it is notifiable seem to be okay to me. i am with niceic and paying 450.00 for assesment for which i receive nothing as most of my customers havent got a clue, as long as your part p registered and notify the job whats the difference i will be joining stroma next year and saving 200.00 plus only have to show 1 major job saving time and money as long as i advertise i am part p registered and my customers are happy job done.
I contacted them recently as well. Reading between the lines (haven't directly asked yet) they accept the BPEC Pee P cert., which they will train/sell you. But I can see no other Pee P certs. mentioned.
