Richard

Did any of you sit it? I didn't think it was TOO bad, couple of questions I was a little unsure of but overall ok. How did you guys find it? I can never think of the bloddy questions afterwards!

There's normally only 6 examination dates per year, there is no September or November exam this year.
Thinking about it now, my five day course is 18-21 july and then the next available test date is in october which would be the 5th day. But is the practicle test included during the course and if you fail the practicle is there any point in the written test?

yes even if you fail practical still do the written as then you still have i think 2 yrs to get the practical dont worry written is harder as i had no previous experience of testing 3 phase but passed the practical just read how to do it go on yOu tube there are testing videos by chris kitcher is book is also a good one as it has pics lol dont panic and work in a methodical manner but dont rush but at same time dont be to slow

Good advice from Brucelee above and I'll just add that almost all 2391 practical test failures are safety related-be safe at all times and you'll probably be allowed a bit of extra time if you come to need it.

Is your course the same week? I am starting the course on the 18th and have the exam on the 21st. So, to answer my own stupid question, there must be an exam once a month, that would put me at a disadvantage in terms of revision time wouldnt it?

Hey Silver Surfer,

My course is starting on the 18th for 4 days and back on the 21st, when I pass that and get the results ^^ they will put me forward for the practical.
I taking mine at Crawley with trade skills 4 u.....

Yes Iq is right make sure you seek permission to isolate carry out safe isolation correctly and when you have locked ot off RETAIN KEY IN POCKET
Ask for old test sheets and copy as much info as you can before you start testing on the 4th assesment

You know what I am waiting for folks - the first person to appear here with his results! Every time someone posts on this thread I get an email notification and thence I rush to see if it's just that! Frightening experience. The seconds seem to take forever too! The wait the wait.

I remember the question,

It was something like if there was an earth fault with a breaker wired into the Neutral, what would happen...

I think I answered, that the circuit breaker would not operate because it is a fault between Line and Earth.
