Letter from CSCS is this just them trying to make money from us?

Hello fellow sparks, I've received this letter last week. It is frustrating. Do I still need an CSCS card as I have an JIB gold card ? This seems to be them trying to keep their money cycle going.

JIB/ECS card trumps CSCS as I see it. Not really any point in having both.

Some Sparks get the CSCS card, because they don’t have an NVQ3 and can’t get a JIB/ECS card.

If you have a JIB card you don't need a CSCS card you just need to keep your H & E side of things up to date to keep the ECS side of it up to date because its all affiliated to the CSCS.

It was a nuclear licensed site so H&S was on another level.

I have friends that are welders/carpenters/builders/plumbers etc but its always us sparks that seem to have to jump through the most hoops to keep qualified.....

Makes you wonder !!
