I had a look on Google at this which brought a wiki page up which says... BS 7671 is also used as a national standard by Mauritius, St Lucia,Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Cyprus, and several other countries, which base their wiring regulations on BS 7671.
However I can't find out what the other 7 countries are, if anyone knows the other 7 that would be great.

I would love to work in a hotter country such as OZ but obviously having to learn their standards and regs etc after 4 years of learning our own just doesn't seem too appealing, so trying to find somewhere decent where I won't have to re-study. Thanks

cyprus is appealing. nice weather, warm, and a lot of english spoken.

Yeah, I had no idea they followed it till earlier, Cyprus is at the top of my list unless one of the other 7 countries is nicer

Pakistan follow very loosely in some cases,

It says several not seven. So could be 3 or more.

'Several' is a vague expression. It indicates the person who wrote that Wikipedia entry ran out of information or gave up trying to find out enough to form a definitive list. I reckon if they'd known all the other countries that use BS7671 they'd have listed them, and not just put 'several others'.
Hong Kong still use it AFAIK. Probably 'several' other former colonies. There's that word again.

Mauritius is an amazing place . I was pleasantly surprised to see the sockets were british 3 pin .

Thanks for that mate, I was hoping somewhere in Asia (Hot) would pop up but I don't believe HK is a hot country.

Australia have their regs that are almost the same as UK regs. However, as a form of local employment protection you will have to obtain your relevant state licence dependant on what you wish to do here.
