MCS scheme

Has anybody branched out to the mcs scheme as an additional line/source of work to their business ?

Am thinking of expanding , but noticing that the costs may be very high ( including a training course and registration to an MCS scheme ) before i can even start this ....is it worth it ?

On radio 4 this morning there was an interview with someone from the industry, he seemed to be saying that the industry was in decline at the moment, but didn't say that directly as he obviously didn't want to be scare mongering, but you could read between the lines, should be available on I player, was around 715-745
