Hi folks, my name is Stuart, I've been reading this forum for quite a while listening in while I did my 17th Edition. Seems I have still quite a way to go before I become an Electrician! I have spent 16years as a panel wirer ( MCC, HMI, PLC builds ) and feel its time to broaden my horizons. Having spoke with college tutors I have been advised to gain the C&G 2394/5 qualification, which I heard is rather difficult to pass. I have sat a Skill course in testing and inspection at Wakefield Skill Center as a precursor for this course, but still, I'm a bit apprehensive about funding this without some prior experience which I'm finding rather difficult to get as most of the work I've enquired about requires the C&G 2391 or this newer 2394/5 qualification. In fact I'm finding the entire industry rather hard to break into! Anyhow, enough of my waffle..any advise etc is most welcome!
