Thanks for the advice.I am going to invest in some good quality RG6 coax as a starting point. Tried the antennas booster in line but it made things worse as kept loosing the sound for a couple of seconds. Fingers the better coax will help.I'd recommend getting some decent quality cable to be honest - the screening on the cheap stuff is very poor. When you're talking microvolt level signals it makes a big difference.

No it came with a booster which was fine until I wanted to add more rooms so it has been replaced with a SSL 70 Element Tri Boom Very High Gain TV Aerial. Then there will be the Wolsey WFAV 622 LTE 6 Way Variable Gain Masthead Amplifier with Power Supply Kit and Rg6 coaxing.What model of "one for all" tv antenna is it?
If the 'booster' is a module that came with it, it might actually be a power injector for some electronics in the antenna head, typically a small amplifier/filter. In which case the aerial won't work as intended without it. Losing sound could be an artefact of too much signal!!
But of course if it's just a regular signal booster, ignore me!
