Hello All,
Im looking for advice on how to price up electrical jobs, if i go to a job and it takes me ten minutes to sort out, what would u charge, is there a minimum fee i should be asking for, is it best to have a day rate or price the whole job,any advice would be gratefully appreiated, Cheers

mixture of all that, mate. not an exact science by all means. say you have a call-out charge of £30 for local . this may have to be £45 if it's 30 miles away. you can add time on site, or include the 1st half-hour in the call-out fee. then again, it may be just a light bulb change for a pensioner or disabled person in the neighbourhood. then you may do it for free or ask for a nominal tenner. all experience.

You need a first hour rate of xx, then subsequent hourly rate of ---, charged by the closest 15 mins.

Remember you are "wasting" time driving to and from the call.

I operate a £50 then £30 rate + parts but will sometimes do very small jobs FOC or drop to £35, or include parts.
