Hi all,

Fitting a new consumer unit for client and the meter is a radio telemeter series 2a, installed in 1999 (type number 077-124).
Do these things have back up batteries in them, what happens if the main fuse is pulled or there is a power outage.

Thanks in advance.

Why do you need to pull the radio fuse?

Surely the main fuse is better?

I didnt know that meters had fuses.

Dont get them much down here.

I meant the main fuse, sorry. I cant see that the meter has its own supply so i need to pull the main fuse, as the radio telemeter is digital will it not power down?
Confused.

Nope ! same as a norm digital back up batt installed ! all electronic meters have them just in case the dreded power cut !
Regards
Kung.
