I just went on a EICR with my brother in law who is a fully qualified spark.

I've just witnessed a whole ring final circuit wired in 1.5mm twin and earth and the cpc's into the back boxes instead of into the sockets. ???

Its absolutely criminal what some people are allowed to get away with.

Just doing some commercial work today. Suspended ceiling. Replacing old fluors. Cat II with LED panels. Spaghetti nightmare up there. Bare cable ends that are live. Sockets/spurs ripped off walls thrown in the ceiling covers off, live. Bare cables taped over many times. Absolutely appalling job. Poorly labelled circuits, no previous certs for new DB on each floor. Presumably fairly recent as they are all RCBO circuits. But really poor wiring above the ceiling.

Sound like a job done by Bojit and Scarper electrical services.

Ah the "suspended ceiling as enclosure" reference method of installation.... rummaging round above the ceiling in a couple of takeaway shops was enough to put me off doing small commercial work

Not you by any chance Buzz
I think Buzz is referring to unspecified -Forum misdemeanors ..
