Hi

Is it ok to use them above ground, cables clipped along a wall? I have not used them before and was wondering if they are UV rated etc and do the armours of the SWA still connect in the resin joint to keep the cpc continuous??

thanks in advance

yeah....crack on...
P.S.
if a scotchcast is suitable for use underground...then what made you think it wasn`t suitable for use above ground?...
just out of interest mind you...

Of course the armouring of a SWA cable remains continuous, normally either by tinned copper braiding tape or by a wrapped braiding mesh.

Is this cable and joint just laid on the ground, or is it being supported on a wall or something?? If this cable is being clipped/cleated to a wall or the like, you'll need to purchase a couple of joint supports/hangers, those resin joints can be heavy and over time put tension on the cable ends.....
