It's ok, the wire is hidden when the cover is in place. Though someone has written on the circuit label that a fuse wire has been fitted in way 1...

Straight away he goes on about how he has wired up many garages, its really easy.

Took cover off the DB and, it confirms my suspicion he didn't know what he was doing......

Also, what's the incoming supply and cable size, looks pretty small for if that board were to get more loaded?

Because they’ve been cleaned but the switch left to be changed - it was the tidying up of a flat in the same house that I was sorting a lighting problem so I was having a look around - invited of course!

What really annoys me about that is the plumber could easily have done that neatly, avoiding the socket. It's not difficult, ffs...
Clearly, if he couldn't be bothered to check if the socket was in use, and anyway just went ahead and fitted his pipes, badly, he should be sacked.
"Push-fits" do not a plumber make".
That picture has actually made me very angry!
