We live and learn........I didn't know Stanley made an adaptor!Almost 100% correct. But the pushdrills do interchange with the big Yankee - that's what the metal adaptor is for (above the set of drills).

The cabinet maker I knew always said blunt the nails before driving them in that way the fibres of the timber are cut and not separated, it's separating them that splits the timber.should always drill pilot holes to prevent wood splitting (unless you are a builder or kitchen fitter).
