Morning all,

I have a shop at first fix stage, there are two ring final circuits, three lighting circuits, the lighting circuits are all downlighters and the cabling for the circuits including the rings are all in stud walling as original walls have been battoned off.
The shop has been empty for a while and the original tennant had all supplies ripped out, exept for the c.u.which is 16th edition.
My question is, do the lighting circuits need to be r.c.d,?..or could all circuits be on the r.c.d. side as it is commercial ?

Thanks in advance

If it was my decision, for the sake of 5 circuits, I'd just use RCBO's and then you're covered for use by skilled/instructed/non instructed persons, cables buried in walls at depths of less than 50mm etc etc.

Yes Dave.. main switch already there so i think i will alter the box and add another r.c.d. ....sorted ...thanks for all the replys lads :)
