Hi all
on a periodic how many of you would code 4 a shower drawing 36A protected by a 32Amcb
just dont want to be to picky but i feel it should be noted to cover my back

On the basis of the information given, a code 4 seems justified as it doesn't comply with the relationship ''Ib< or equal to In'' as given in appendix 4. Would be best to investigate a bit further though.

32A breaker 6.00 16m clipped direct so cable is OK

but does not comply as load exceeds protective device I know it will sit running till the cows come home but it is a non compliance and as such should be noted but is it being to ---- about it

is the 36A as measured, or is it calculated from the KW rating of the shower?

only way i see it is a code 4. i would recommend a 40A mcb. bearing in mindd its clipped direct. ( max. Zs would be lower though )
