Carried out an EICR today few things noted down to do,there is a 10mm equipotential bond on water and gas services. BUT the gas is bonded at the meter under the stairs and 2 inches down it enters the solid floor. also in the lounge there is a small gas pipe that comes out the wall to the fire and a pipe that comes out the wall in the kitchen to the cooker, my question is do i tell customer each point were it comes out in the rooms it needs a 10mm earth bond.
or would you guys ignore it cause its earthed at the gas meter.
i had an assessor raise the reg on corrosion to pipes on a new build but this time its not a newbuild and suppose this is relative to what he said.

No chance ;-)

Regs require the gas / water mains to be bonded close to where it enters the building.
It is.
No further action needed.

Do a wandering lead earth continuity test where the pipes are accessible if your really worried

It has to be bonded per regs , talk of corrosion is neither here nor there.

I suppose this assessor also requires that where any plastic water pipe is installed a bond is required if it changes to copper again!

There could be concerns if the pipe was entering the building at various points, rather than emerging from the structure at more than one place

True , but in a domestic scenario , its not an issue.
I have to say though that some of these scheme inspectors spout mucho nonsense.

I think the last thing you would be worried about if a gas pipe was corroded would be the lack of bonding continuity!

As biff says, cont check if you are concerned.
As yellow says, bonding last of your worries if corrosion has severed the pipe...
