My water purifier uses an AC-DC SMPS. The float valve in its storage tank thus operates on DC. To this water purifier I want to retrofit an AC UV sterilizer system - uses a 11w UV Lamp powered by a standalone AC choke.

As soon as the float valve reaches its stop in the tank, the purifier automatically shuts off. The UV sterilizer, however, needs to be manually switched off.

Is there a way I can take an output from the DC float valve for the sterilizer's AC choke? In short, I want my retrofitted UV sterilizer to also automatically switch off when the float valve reaches its stop. I don't want to manually switch it off, or worse, allow it to remain on after the water flow has stopped.
