An electric shock due to inadequate fault protection can only be caused by?

a. accidental touching of a phase conductor
b. class 2 equipment
c. touching conduit under fault conditions
d. SELV terminals

I know the answer just wondering your thoughts on the question.

I see i mean c too but can you not get a shock from a phase conductor.

Yes, but a phase conductor is meant to be live at all times. Touching would be a faliure of basic protection, nowt to do with fault protection.
 
I figured that for it to be live to touch and get a shock you would be accessing a termination and thus shouldn't be live anyhow. But yes otherwise to that a failure of basic protection.
 
what if you touched only the live while on a insulated step ladder? would you get a shock or become charged to whatever voltage is present just like the birds on power lines?
 
If the phase conductor was only live due to inadaquate fault protection you might have a problem
