Hello,

I have a single socket in the corner of my bedroom, i would like to replace this with a double socket. Can anyone advise me on how i would go about doing this?

Thanks,

Matt

plug in an extention lead matey its easier;)

I'm unable to do this as i plan on using homeplugs. Homeplugs are for computers, they send data across your houses electrical lines so that it is essentially wireless. These get interference when used in conjunction with a surge protector, as i am using.

Unless you are know what you are doing leave it alone and get an electrician in to do it.;)

A little knowledge can be DANGEROUS.

You can get sockets that double up (or more) called converters that you change your existing socket for. No chasing to do.

However, you should be competent in doing this type of work. If not call in a sparky.

Have a look at these

Which one of these two should i get?

Pay your money, take your pick. Go to screw fix and have a look at them. If you have any doubt about fitting this contact a electrician.

hate them stoopid plugs.half of them fail early, and the other half never pair easily. don't use wireless if I can help it.

cant beat good old fashioned cabling.

my whole house is dater cabled up... 48 port patch panel with 40+ outlets across the house in every room.

makes future upgrades a doddle :)

and lovely gigabit LAN speeds :p
