Got a call out to a house where the RCD tripped instantly when the MCB was turned on for the kitchen ring. Investigated the fault, located it was something load side of the boiler fused supr. Took the cover off the boiler to check the wiring and find this:

Blocked condenser leaked milky water alllllll over the electrical connections.

I think that's a bad habit you have. ;)
 
Found this behind an old consumer unit NOT ACCESSIBLE OR VISIBLE:

A freaking henley block! Luckily there was enough slack on the existing meter tails to connect to the new consumer unit without having to replace them.

Awesome. Never seen a MF Henley block before, maybe you should invent one, there's clearly demand for them!

Why on earth would anyone twist the conductors like this?! The whole house is like it. o_O

I think it was made much worse when someone altered the wiring to fit 5x Nest receivers! I was just there to swap a faulty valve.
