Isn't it an SWA into an old MEM or similar metalclad switch ? If so and the SWA is a two core then it's worse than we thought ! :uhoh2:

Agree, thats an SWA - you can read the voltage dialectric value on the side.. I would suggest that isn't a swa gland and in fact the pvc is cut and the clip is bonded to the steel wires.

Yes I'd agree, the removed outer sheath is hidden in the picture by the earth strap label.

PV install on a garage roof and the new build garage has a SWA feeding it! Brilliant, easy to feed into the Grid!!!! Then we looked at the other end..........

SWA fed from a plug top, plugged into an extension, plugged into the hallway socket!!!! Only just had enough space to fit a double pole Iso in that cupboard.

Spotted this on an Eicr a couple of weeks ago!! How not to get a water pipe into a porta kabin.

To be fair I i didnt entertain looking inside to confirmhow many cores Dave OCD. I was looking at this after a boiler house refurb that made me chuckle.
It has been done with such precision, the labels are neat and readable, the clamp looks tight, the bonding cable cores are continuous and then... they missed the pipes!

You managed to mess up the wallpaper a bit there Andy.

Ha, only a bit. You don't have your name for nothing I see.
The original conduit stopped an inch before the box so had to knock out a bit of wall to rewire. If you think that's a mess you should see the rest of the house !
