Electrical Design Software

Evening,

I´m looking for some Electrical Design Software for designing electrical cabinets. So the software would need to have contactors, drives, PLC´s, isolaters, SSR, solenoids etc.
I´ve used Design Spark Electrical before but I found it difficult and cumbersome to work with, so for that project I drew everything by hand!

I´m familiar with AutoCAD, but don´t want to pay AutoCAD prices for the electrical add-on.

Is there anything free that's good?

A single license for AutoCAD Electrical shouldn't break the bank if you are doing sufficient panel design work.

Hi, I actually got AutoCAD electrical for free just after posting this. It’s the student version.

Auto-cad do a months free trial..
You would just then need to get a new email address every month and keep signing up

I got a 3 year license for AutoCAD from eBay for £23.
A saving of £5377!

I lost all respect for AutoDesk when they went from charging £1200 to buy AutoCAD to £1800 for a years license.
