Also how did you check for gas leaks? I know a couple of ways of doing this. One has fallen out of favour these days as it is considered to be a tad dangerous, and the other should only be carried out by a Gassafe chappy.
So the gas meter dials spin when the boiler is on and stop spinning when the boiler is off?
Do the dials on the electric meter spin if you switch a big load on and then stop spinning when you switch it off? I think you'd better check just in case there is electricity leaking all over the floor, it'll stain the carpets something rotten y'know!
