Discuss Good Morning Thread - Come say good morning, tell us what you've got on today. :) in the The Exchange area at ElectriciansForums.net

We have this thread on TilersForums.com and it's just been restarted because the old thread had 20,000 replies and 500,000 views. And there were 700 pages. Started to lag a bit on slow connections.

I think we had a bash of this before, but I can't find the thread, so thought I'd start another one off.

If you have time in the mornings, come post in the thread before you head off to work, let us know what you've got on and what the weather is like in your area etc. Anything at all is fine. :)

Posts and likes get counted towards your total stats in this thread.

So GOOOD MORNING PEOPLE - WEATHER IS NICE TODAY IN STOKE. I'M THANKFUL IT'S FRIDAY, HAD A RUBBISH WEEK. THANK GOD IT'S OVER.

It was 25 degs in the Greenhouse today, proved all the gas struts work on the new vents and louvres, still have to wire up the socket to get the propagators working, that should be done tomorrow, completed the wiring for the lights,, I can soon start seeding.
another cannabis farm for the cops to raid.

Drove in two lengths of copper clad steel rods for the TT on the Greenhouse, I am surprised at the Ω reading, I am in a valley on the North Downs so the Chalk is not far down, anyone care to guess what the reading was?

As an experiment, the height difference between the Earth, Potential and Current electrode is substantial, so I am going to take readings up the garden and down the garden and compare the difference, academic really, but may be interesting according to the strata lines, up may be more clay/earth, but down will definitely be more chalk.

Todays job out by the coast to help some guy with his internet setup. Wanted a new power supply for a big antennae.

Didn’t see the customer, but he had some crazy rockery sitting in his living room.

If you know….. you know

Getting ready to meet up for the first time on Monday next week with a younger EF member I am helping(?) with his HNC course. Synchronous machines at the moment. The second year of my degree (1982) and lectures on 'Electrical Power Machinery' seems a very long time ago. He is finding to his 'delight' - there is more to them than meets the eye - and to his credit he wants to know in detail how they work and why. An impressive young electrician.

stuck at home having tested positive for corona. so in isolation. lateral flow testing Monday/Tuesday. they'll not brat this virus while schools are open. 1 infected child with no symptoms , in close contact with --- other brats, all go home ...--- families then infected. that's how we got it. 1 child home from school, now 7 of us got it. it's exponential.

any large gathering with a load of people in close contact is a recipe for disaster. when did common sense cease to be a desirable quantity?
