We have this thread on TilersForums.com and it's just been restarted because the old thread had 20,000 replies and 500,000 views. And there were 700 pages. Started to lag a bit on slow connections.

I think we had a bash of this before, but I can't find the thread, so thought I'd start another one off.

If you have time in the mornings, come post in the thread before you head off to work, let us know what you've got on and what the weather is like in your area etc. Anything at all is fine. :)

Posts and likes get counted towards your total stats in this thread.

So GOOOD MORNING PEOPLE - WEATHER IS NICE TODAY IN STOKE. I'M THANKFUL IT'S FRIDAY, HAD A RUBBISH WEEK. THANK GOD IT'S OVER.

Gordon. The bloke with the big bat spotlight….

No elections in Scotland…. Which was confusing considering all the ads that have been on tv… I thought it was Uk wide up until last night.

Oh Yeah Commissioner Gordon! Forgot about him but I am more of a Marvel Gal myself!

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you all have a great Bank Holiday!

Miami GP this weekend woohoo!

Morning. Having to Suffer the west coast today 😂

At a bike rally this weekend. Slightly hung over this morning.

Came home from my week at work yesterday. So far today I've washed a stack of dishes left by the family, washed and hung out 1 load of washing (2nd load is in), cleaned the pond filter, soaked and scrubbed my overalls ready to go in the washing machine. I'll be glad to go back to work Monday for a rest.
BTW, happy Star Wars day

Morning all. Can't get my effin 12 year old daughter out of bed to go school. Had hell up with her for months now. She lived 50/50 between me and mum (alternated extra day so 3/4 - 4/3). She has hay-fever but that's no excuse. Going boom a truant (attendance) officer to come scare her - or attempt to. Will see what happens grrrr.

Cancelled going see the cooks which we booked on the condition she goes every day. She says you wont cancel them. I said I didn't want to but had to. @Lou has already cancelled it.

If any shop can rescue me from this i will come work for you for free. Just put me up in a loft somewhere for some peace please. I can't work from home like this lol

I asked if I can go school and rox optimise sites, fix some issues, blog 20 articles over the week. And I'll boss maths and English this time round lol

Is this why you were up in the middle of the night, @Dan , asking who would work in a tile or electrical wholesalers?

@Dan just show her some posts by Buzz. If she can translate then she really needs to get to school.

Curently in Padova, Italy. It's raining and I'm doing admin all day. So exciting.....

Just leave her there, switch off the wifi, don't feed her or any drinks, she will soon get board and get up, and when she does, be sitting in the garden and don't do anything for her, she wants to do what she wants, let her and don't help, put a lock on the fridge door and food cupboards, show her how selfish she is by example, when you go shopping just buy beer to show her, leave the goodies in the car, when she says I want to go back to Mum, just say off you go then, but switch off the phone, I have no doubt she has a mobile, if you pay for it cancel the contract.

Saying all the above check to see if she has a problem at school, perhaps she is being bullied, worth checking?

Ive brought up 3 daughters... each with their own problems... but refusing to go to school... or at least refusing to go on the bus to school.... was down to the idiots from our village causing mayhem... vaping on the bus, abusing the drivers... that kind of thing.

Although our girls weren't individually targeted, they were scared to go on the bus. 12 is a difficult age.

Butting heads gets you nowhere. All the "shutting off the wifi" does is creates more anger..... How is she at her Mums? is there issues there that could be affecting her behaviour with you?

Even if you ask if there's something bothering them.... they'll say no.... But ask again in a week or two.... then leave it.... ask again later... Eventually, you might get some little titbit of information that answers a lot of questions.

How lovely!

I would rather be in Italy and it be raining than be here and it be raining! I would love to pop off somewhere.. Got a big birthday this year (boooo) and would be nice to spend it in the sun! Just too busy with work and life stuff though at the moment! Hoping things will calm down soon

She's alright now. I'm most upset about not going see The Kooks with her near my birthday as a treat to us all (and @Lou like) and now she's not gone a day I have had to cancel tickets.

As I can't reward that shyte.

Morning all!

Beautiful day here in staffordshire, been rummaging around trying to find my summer sandals haha.

How is everyone today?

Currently in Scunthorpe with the sun beating down on us. More or less finished this job (disconnecting 2 x 400kv gen transformers). Got a long drive to a Premier Inn in Gillingham in Kent to look forward to once we get away.

One of my flying buddies was from Scunthorpe and always referred to it as "Sunny Scunny" last thing it was when I was there. 😉

Popped in to look at a job this morning… and wish I hadn’t.

The job itself was easy enough… remove wall lights… all cables go back to the switch.
However, previous owner of house was a bit handy with diy… not an inch of sleeving… g/y or otherwise.

Two way switching… 3 core between switches.. and “Dave” used the yellow and blue as strappers… which left the red to carry the neutral between switches.

2 hour job to sort all that out..
could have been much more tricky if it was joint boxed.

Well, todays job is done. I'm currently sat in the sun by the 'beach' in Grain looking over at Southend. Been stuffing my self with 2 Cadburys caramel doughnuts followed by an injection of insulin. Going to go for walk now. Wish I had my dog with me.

That is no way to talk about your wife. 😂

Ahem….

Look at the recent posts from this year.

My kid has done everything… printed up score sheets… she’s going out to decide on party food today for tomorrow….

All I can say is…. Go Olly!

Not this morning…. But late last night….

“I want to go to Norway to see the Northern Lights!”

“You’ve got the Northern Lights at home”

Edit.
There was a thread started just for this that I didn’t notice…. So I put my other photos up over there….

My wife bought us a very expensive trip 90 miles inside the Artic circle for my 60th birthday (can't believe this was sixteen years ago) we stayed in a Tin mining town, when the seam ran out they moved the town on skids to follow the seam, the Northern lights where impressive, but my lasting memory is the ten dog sledge team I drove to a Elk skin tent for lunch you had to stand on the brake the whole time or the dogs would run to exhaustion.

I'd have loved the dogs thing as much as the lights too I think lol
