inspection and testing procedures

Hi all,
I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone knows of any inspection and testing procedure documents i can download. I need to write a report stating exactly how to carry out an initial inspection and really don't fancy starting from scratch. Any help would be appreciated.

GN3 would be a good book to have infront of you
