Hi, I’m about to get some fitted wardrobes installed which will cover 2 plugs sockets. The wardrobes will be fitted wall to wall, so only front fascia visible

It has been suggested to move the plug sockets to the front outside face of the wardrobes ( the end units will have stable doors and freestanding bedside cabinets in front of them)

Does anyone have experience with doing similar and how can it be done safely? I have visions of exposed wires running across the bottom of the wardrobe

If left “accessible” even inside the wardrobe, then a simple diy solution would be extension lead from a plug, decent sized flex to normal double socket.

a bit more professional is to spur off each socket (if not already a spur) and fit the socket.

both ideas run in mini trunking to stop cables flapping all over or inside the frame.
