Someone either was on a price per fitting or maybe just had a few extra in the van they wanted to get rid of?

I think they could so with some cable tray in them rooms.. Going to each socket...

The only way you could ever justify such an abomination is if the room was some sort of home office with lots of desks and kit going in

Have been asked in the past to install 7 or 8 twins in a small bedroom that was going to be used as small office. but always in white plastic sockets.

I personally hate all that flat plate stuff all on the walls looks carp if you ask me

I bet it looked like a right man cave when it was full of all the tech! I'd love to see a picture of all the rooms full of all the gadgets. :D

Bet you couldn't move though.

Bet it was a disco-dave type guy who had laser light shows on his tod. :D

I don't know whats more bizarre- the number of sockets in that room, or the number of times someone has tried to start a new thread on the same story.

My living room has 10 doubles... but I designed it that way. All normal height... not even one behind the wall mounted telly.

Overkill to an extreme, I am only used to 1 double per room and 1 light pendant. (IN DAYS GONE BY)

when the humble British 3 pin plug was developed that was right.
it was intended to supply a heater of up to 3Kw
why on earth would you need more than that in one room!!

The last hi-end property I was involved with had twenty seven viewing screens spread around the property all linked to the stock market, the data cabling had to be seen to be believed also the amount of sockets in each room, the cables where run vertically in a hidden service duct in each room and accessed the outlets from floor level, the sort of layout shown in the room in question is not unusual, but could look a bit better.
