I set up as self employed last year and it wasn't a problem. Being asked to lock off the main switch and then take off the consumer unit cover was my favourite part of the assessment
only just looked back at my emails.. (IM SLOW but i remember things)

· Formal qualifications E.G. NVQ level 3, city & guilds 2360 or equivalent.
· Onsite guide
· Calibration certificates
· Electricity at work regulations
· Public liability insurance for £2 million
· 2391 or above if carrying out periodics
· 2 passport size photographs
· A CV listing 2 years + experience
I guess coming from the C&G2330 i didnt have the 2yr experience
I only looked because NICEIC are demanding £516/yr this year for 17/05
and then my test date is about Mid August time 24/08 was when i got tested
