i am carrying out a report at a local bar and i see it has a split load board, is this still ok with current regs or should i suggest upgrading so everything is rcd covered

if it was installed to the 16th ed then dependant on what circuits are rcd protected, and no real defects can be found it was good enough then it is still now. only if you work on or alter circuits do they need to be to 17th.

There is also the fact, that as it is a place of work, then RCD protection for socket-outlets is not required, except for those used for mobile equipment outdoors, or those intended to be used by customers.
