Ring door bell (wired) fitted now living room lights don’t work?

Hi, checked the switches in the living room, all the wiring looks good no loose connections. I’ve changed the bulbs (simple but you never know). As I said the hall light works which is right next to the doorbell so if if though would be first in line if it’s all wired together? So either faulty light fittings or wiring loose in the fixture? Might be time to call an electrician and get my wallet out ?

Will be the same with Siri, the Apple voice assistant.
Maybe Amazon should set the default name on their gadget to Amazon or Echo… I’m actually going to change the name of mine when I get home out of protest.

I think the installer may have disturbed an existing connection within the Consumer Unit when connecting the new cable for the transformer.

Possibly a wire that's never been inside the clamp at the top of the MCB, but, until now, has been resting against the outside and making contact.
Wouldn't be the first case I've come across!

Update: FIXED. Turns out one of the dimmer switches had failed. Replaced with a regular switch so now I have a dimmer and a regular switch attached to the 2 chandeliers.

think they'd be better sited on the wall rather than swinging from chandeliers. ??
