Hello there

have a problem re internal walls. there made of compressed straw between plasterboard, which i think makes them stramit board. i have been told that there are preformed channels for cable/pipe, does anyone know the spacing of these channels?? or where to find out?

one more thing as this is basically a compressed straw wall will cable derating be the same for a fully insulated wall?

many thanks

Nip up into the loft, the chanels are visible from above. As for the derating do as you have stated.
You'll have fun chopping in back boxes, bring on the Fein cutter.

Should be 12" centres.find a socket or switch on the same wall then measure from the drop to where you want to cut out ur pile of straw.get a sharp chisel or a fein
