Can you run a 2.5mm twin an earth cable from the consumer unit to a 13A switched fuse spur then from that switched fuse spure on the feed side to another switched fuse spur so you have 2 switched fuse spures on one radial?? Reason for asking I’m getting a new boiler which is currently down my cellar but it’s going to be moved to my kitchen so I need a supply for the boiler or could I just flex out of the spur load side down my cellar up to the kitchen which would be a run of about 8m or should the boiler have the switch fuse spur more local to the boiler ?? Is ther any regs on this

There are no regs saying you need a fcu for a boiler at all, though boiler manufacturers suggest there are. The same boilers in Europe are plugged into a 16 a non fused socket with no problems. Boilers are internally fused anyway.

If your radial is from a 20a or less MCB you can have as many fcus or sockets as you like, but if it is from a 32a MCB (which probably also feeds a ring) you can only have one socket or fcu off it.

The OP is taking it from the consumer unit, so the breaker will have to be no bigger than 20A. Would also need notifying.

The OP has an existing radial (not specified) to a switched fused spur and wants to extend the radial to feed the new boiler position in the kitchen. Extend the existing circuit. As long as it complies with BS7671. The new switched fused spur is required for safe isolation to the boiler and 3A fuse to protect the external controls.

He's moving his boiler into his kitchen.
There must be a power circuit/socket outlet in the vicinity he can spur a FCU off?!

Would it be ok running a flex from the load side of the switch fuse spur down my cellar up into the combi Boiler in my kitchen? (Approx 8m run) would save me installing another spur, wasn’t sure if you had to have a spur local to the boiler can’t find no reg ther is no sockets neer wer the boiler is going in my kitchen and no spur way in the consumer unit to run a new circuit the spur down my cellar is on a 20a mcb in 2.5mm twin an earth only that spur on the circuit

my advice is seek a local spark .

As I said:

But you could run another fcu feed off the 20a MCB in the CU.
