Tepcon cylinder stat

Ive been asked to fit one of these tomorrow. Having trouble understanding the diagram. It needs 2 cables going to it.
There is 2 commons and 2x open/closed. Im trying to upload photos but uanble to. Your advice will be much appreciated. Is this an additional safety device?

The diagram shows live connecting to common, then no2 connects to the other common.
no1 connects to A of the outgoing cable.

One is called a limitor and the other is called Adjustable

By looking at it closer it looks like the limitor shuts the boiler down if it reaches over 100oC.
The Adjustable part is the statndard cylyinder stat that allows the temp to be adjusted between 0-90oC

Can i just use one 3 core flex which with feed going into common then out from 2 into common on the cylinder stat and out of 1 to the valve??

Done it. disconnected the second cable as it was connected to permanent live and neutral.

Just connected the single cable through the common on the limitor and looped to common on the stat.
