need to wire my central heating pump which is controlled from pipe thermostat but has the option of turning on the pump manually when radiator heating is required.
how would this be done starting with mains, live, neutral and earth cable... thermostat with common,1 and 2 terminals....and pump with live neutral and earth terminals????

Live to T/S common.....From T/S 1 or 2 to pump live..(whichever makes on temperature rise).
Wire the manual on switch across the two T/S terminals....This is based on what you have asked for but is not really how heating usually works.
This is basic stuff,if you need to ask how to do it also ask yourself if you can do it safely....people die when they dont know what they are doing...a qualified electrician will do it in an hour.
