Hi everyone.

A Sparky came and disconnected where my pool light from its 12V transformer. I stupidly didn't watch him do it, so am not sure how to reconnect.

The light shares the same loop as my garden lights, and the garden lights still work through their separate 12V transformer.

One photo attached shows 2 black wires coming from the shared connectors with my garden lights and the garden light's grey 12V transformer (still working). The other photo shows 2 wires from my pool light in conduit, and the 12V transformer it's been disconnected from.

There are only 2 connection points in the top of the pool light transformer. But obviously I'm looking at 4 wires.

Does anyone know how I put this back together?

Its hard to tell from what you have posted.
You have shown us two transformers there, they need a mains feed in to them. And they need wires out of them to the light or lights that they are powering.

Unless you can identify which is what of the several wires you have photographed, then the only option is by a site visit.

Looking back, you said
He didn't end up fixing the problem - just said I needed to drain the pool so the light could be worked on as there was little current/voltage getting to it (water in the cable).
So, I imagine, that that light, or lights, were causing problems of some sort. So have you drained the pool, has the light been worked on, replaced. Has it been tested to check it can be reconnected??
Or are you hoping that it has magically healed itself and it will work if you connect it up again?

Ahh, I've just noticed that you are one of those digger deviants.

So, if its all been drained, replaced/repaired and ready to go, you need to identify which of those cables in your pictures go where, and maybe can advise more. Its kinda difficult, you see, in the second picture there's only one cable end. This MAY be the 230v feed (or whatever you use in Wallabyland) but where's the other cable that goes to the light(s)?

I'd come and have a look but Australia is a bit far for me to travel.

So.. more information = more help.

EDIT The bl;ack transformer in the second picture is cracked, so you cannot use that anymore. the first drop of rain and - pop
